Ministry of Defence, Military Engineering Services A major country in the Middle-East A major country in the Middle East is using a Material Sources Tracking and Management System built on the Pistaceo platform. The application helps the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to improve its processes related to material tracking and monitoring for all the defence construction projects. The system was able to improve the performance of the Quality Control Supervision of the Technical Affairs Department’s key processes.
The primary processes that were automated include the provision of approval letters to the sources of construction materials like Factories or Agents of steel works, Aluminum and carpentry.
The application process for certification of materials or suppliers of construction materials were paper and people intensive prior to the system implementation. With the Pistaceo based solution, the process of application, reviews, site visits management, and generation of certificates have gone digital. The managers in the department are now able to get real-time reports on the number of applications, where each application is in the process and operation-
al productivity. This relates to a direct improvement in the turn-around-times of applications thus making the Military projects more efficient.
